About Christine Vieira

Christine Vieira is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with over 10 years of experience in psychiatry — spanning outpatient clinics, inpatient settings, and private practice.

She began her career at the University of Rochester Medical Center and went on to practice in Denver, Colorado before returning to Rochester, NY. A graduate of St. John Fisher University's PMHNP program (2021), Christine also holds an MBA, bringing both clinical depth and a thoughtful, professional approach to her practice.

Christine specializes in treating individuals struggling with addiction as well as a wide range of mental health conditions. She is known for being warm, nonjudgmental, and easy to talk to — making it easier for clients to open up and engage in their care.

Policies

Cancellation Policy

Please provide at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Late cancellations or no-shows may be subject to a fee.

Details will be reviewed at your first appointment.

Confidentiality

All services are provided with strict confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Your privacy is taken seriously — especially for sensitive matters such as addiction treatment.

New Client Process

New clients begin with a comprehensive initial evaluation to understand your history, current concerns, and treatment goals. From there, a personalized care plan is developed together.

Prescription Policy

Christine follows all applicable state and federal guidelines for prescribing. Controlled substance prescriptions require regular follow-up appointments and may be subject to additional requirements.

Communication

Between-session communication is available for brief, non-urgent matters. For emergencies or crises, please call 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or 911.

Telehealth Requirements

Telehealth appointments require a private, quiet location, a reliable internet connection, and a device with a camera and microphone. You must be physically located in New York State at the time of your appointment.
